About Ironbark
A neighbourhood barbershop with a simple rule: nobody leaves until the lineup is right.
Our story
Thabo Mokoena opened Ironbark in 2016 with two chairs and a second-hand radio. The name comes from the tough-barked trees along Braamfontein's older streets: rough on the outside, solid all the way through.
Today the shop has three barbers, the same radio, and a booking system so you never wait around.
